18 marzo 2024 – The 6th national meeting of the Nexum Group was held in Rome over two days, on Thursday 14 and Friday 15 March. The theme of the event was ‘Driving Innovation, Ensuring Sustainability‘.

The first day provided an opportunity for exchange among NexumStp members and partners—hundreds of legal, tax, and labour professionals from across Italy discussed the trajectory of the consultancy services that the company provides to more than 20,000 clients nationwide.

The second day saw the inclusion of guests and new participants in the NexumNET networking project, a mixed network comprising service companies and consultants operating in both regulated and unregulated fields. The objective was to create synergies to effectively tackle emerging technological, economic, and internationalisation challenges. By the end of the year, the company aims to develop a network of 250 affiliates.

After welcoming remarks from the Deputy Minister for Infrastructure and Transport, Galeazzo Bignami, and the opening remarks from CEO Mauro Zanin and managing partner Massimo Nardini, the meeting progressed with parallel discussions on labour matters, focusing on emerging technologies such as AI, M&A services, and SME internationalisation. Subsequently, a round table discussion titled ‘Business Development in an Unstable World‘, featuring former Labour Minister Cesare Damiano as a speaker, was held. Other participants included Consuelo Del Balzo, Member of the Council of the National Anti-Corruption Authority; Andrea Giordano, Magistrate of the Court of Auditors, former State Attorney, and Deputy Head of Cabinet of the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security; Francesco Minotti, Managing Director of Medio Credito Centrale; and Alessandro Moricca, Sole Director of PagoPA. Communication expert Giorgio Tedeschi moderated the discussion.

Giuseppe Lasco, the General Manager of Poste Italiane, also delivered a short address at the conference, and Poste Italiane created a specially designed postmark featuring the NexumStp logo, which was used on the Friday of the event and will be preserved at Poste Italiane’s historical seal archive.

Later, a dedicated session on ESG took place, covering topics such as gender equality and corporate welfare, as well as pertinent governance issues including compliance, the 231 system, and whistleblowing.

During the day, the establishment of ETL Italia was announced, marking an evolution of the partnership initiated in 2022 when NexumStp became a part of ETL Global, the prestigious international consulting network.

The meeting drew to a close with an overview of NexumStp’s departments – labour, tax, M&A, sustainability, facilitated finance, and structural adequacy – each represented by their respective heads. Emphasis was placed on cross-selling and growth opportunities, reflecting the cornerstone of the Group’s philosophy. NexumStp President Paolo Stern wrapped up the meeting and closed the event.

NexumStp is a joint stock company founded in December 2018 following the merger of some of Italy’s leading tax and employment consulting firms. Following the entry of new partners, the group, which is headquartered in Rome, now has 59 offices throughout Italy.
